The ride to the hospital was amazingly calm and peaceful. It almost felt good to know we were going to get started and do something about this cancer!
It was about 9 before they called me back into pre-op, they got me all hooked up to the multiple tubes and wires and then brought Bob back there to say goodbye before they wheeled me off. When he returned to the waiting room, Jack Maljaars, Jim Early and Ryan Schilperoort were all there waiting for him:) It was awesome that they were there to distract him and keep him from destroying stuff in the waiting room while he waited the 4 hours that it took for me to be done!
Just a little update on my mom for all her friends and family. She is out of surgery and the surgeon said the surgery went well... they did find some tumor in the lymph nodes so they took some out to do more testing. She will need chemotherapy, however we are not sure how much or when that will start as of right now. Thank you all for the continued support and prayers!
