Had a Dr. appointment on Tuesday. They were able to remove two of the three drains. We went in hoping that they could all come out but having only one in is definitely better than three:) everything looks to be healing up well. We will be starting physical therapy soon to regain full movement in the right arm. Having the lymphnodes removed in that side definitely messes with recovery time as the left side mobility is pretty good but the right has a ways to go:)
Pathology reports came back pretty good!! All tissues from the left were completely clear:) the right side did contain two tumors, but margins around the tumors were clean. And only 2 of the 10-15 lymphnodes tested were bad! We meet with oncology next week to get a definite schedule but it looks like we will be starting with chemo and then possibly radiation at the end to wrap things up.
So overall, a fairly positive visit!! Thank you seems like such a lame word to use when we think of all the caring and support that has been sent our way! There really are no words to express the impact that our friends & family have had in helping us to remain positive and upbeat throughout this. The prayers,meals, cookies, candy, flowers, cards, gifts, posters-huge thank you to PHS basketball!! And the amazing visit from an incredibly sneaky generous 'Santa' have definitely made this Christmas season a very special one for our family! Wishing you all a very blessed christmas this year!
