While we were up there I started having some issues with one of my incision sites...long graphic story short, by Saturday I texted my Dr. and told him that something was wrong and I felt like I had an infection. He figured it would be extremely rare for me to get an infection now when everything was healing up beautifully for 2 weeks already but decided to call in a prescription for antibiotics for me just in case.
Monday morning I went in for Physical Therapy and she took one look at my wound and said I needed to see my Dr. asap! So off to the ER I went where my surgeon met me, ended up going in and cleaning and repacking one of the incision sites which tested positive for a staph infection. Unfortunately because of the infection everything else kind of gets pushed back we well. PT won't work with that side to help me regain mobility until the infection is cleared up. We are praying that it gets cleared up quickly so that chemo does not get delayed as well!
